मेरे पास लफ्ज़ तो हैं, मगर असर अब बाकी नहीं, ख़याल तो अब भी हैं, मगर अहसास अब बाकी नहीं, सवाल तो अब भी हैं, मगर जवाब अब बाकी नहीं, दिल में प्यार तो अब भी है, मगर दिल में जगह बाकी नहीं, सोचता तो अब भी तुझको हूँ  मैं, मगर कोई तस्वीर अब बाकी नहीं, साँसे तो अब भी चल रही हैं, मगर धड़कनें अब बाकी नहीं, जिंदा तो हूँ मैं, मगर जिंदगी अब बाकी नहीं.... घंटो खड़ा रहा मैं गुमसुम, कोई हवा गुजरी नहीं मुझे छूकर, आज दिल भी बहुत उदास है, जाना ये मैंने तुझसे दूर होकर. बीते लम्हों के अब्र अब, मेरे ख्यालों में छाए हैं, यादो के अश्क भी अब, आँखों से निकल आये हैं. कुछ लम्हे और रुका हूँ, उस हवा के इंतज़ार में, आज खुद को खो रहा हूँ मैं, चुप रहकर तेरे प्यार में.....
